In fairness to clients waiting to get into training, refunds are only provided if we are notified at least 72 hours prior to your start date. To cancel please call us at 541-603-6868 or e-mail us at email@example.com. With 72 hours notice, your cost of class will be fully refunded or you can choose to apply it to further training.
Thank you for understanding less than 72 hours notice prevents others from enrolling and that you forfeit your training, no refunds will be given and your registration is not transferrable to another party. But you can choose to transfer group classes over to private consultations.
If The Well-Mannered Dog needs to cancel a training due to an emergency or events beyond our control (dangerous weather conditions, instructor illness etc.) we will reschedule that session.
Rescheduling private training
Both parties agree to only cancel or reschedule private appointments in the event of an emergency (unforeseen circumstances resulting in a need for immediate action) as openings can rarely be filled resulting in wasted time. Emergency cancellations will be rescheduled. Rescheduling non-emergency cancellations are charged our normal hourly rate.
Class Make-Up Policy
If your dog is unable to attend training, come without your dog.
If you have to miss a class - If you can’t make it to a group class you Forfeit that class but you will still be e-mailed all the class material & have phone and e-mail access to your instructor. If you wish to schedule a private make-up class, the make up class will be charged at our current private consultation rate.
Successful dog training is about humans making changes in an effort to meet their dog’s needs of a healthy diet, medical care, appropriate exercise, mental stimulation and reduced stress while teaching the dog alternative correct behaviors that can earn rewards. Because we can not guarantee you will follow through with our suggestions, no guaranteed is made regarding success. What we can guarantee though is, you will be treated with respect, we will listen and we will give you the best advice to meet your goals.
Not all dogs do well in a class with other dogs and people. Dog that bark excessively, snarl, growl, snap, lunge or bite in an unfriendly fashion need to be enrolled in our Changing Dog Emotions training. We understand occasionally an owner is surprised by their dogs reactions in class. If your dog does not meet the class criteria, you agree to transfer to the Changing Emotions program. Refunds will not be granted. Your dog does need training. We just have to get into the training that will meet its needs.
Only people who are physically and mentally capable of safely handling their dog can work with the dog during training. Should a safety issue be discovered, you agree to make the appropriate changes.
If you have questions or concerns about whether your dog is suitable for class, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 541-603-6868.
Children approved to participate in the training need a parent who is learning along with them. Children under nine years of age must be able to sit quietly on the bench. All children under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
